The last Bond game I played was Everything or Nothing. Next to GoldenEye, it's the best one of the series. It was also the first GOOD 3rd person title. But with the latest venture, I don't like their angle. If you haven't seen it, look at the trailer above.
At first glance I immediately thought Tom Clancy's Super-Team Galactica Rainbox Six Vegas Party Fun Time. First person for the main action and 3rd person for cover and special actions. Okay I guess, but they say they are basing it off of Call of Duty 4 engine. Is it just me or does this look a little rough? I am scared to say this since Cowzilla is sure to kill me for speaking ill of his precious Bond game, but I am just generally unimpressed with it thoroughly.
Maybe devs need to stick to making 007 games with fictious plots, as in not based off a movie.
I'm not feeling this game. Looks like another run-of-the-mill FPS with nothing new to offer. Plus, weren't they trying to go back to Bond's spy roots and less action with Casino Royale?
Not to be a douchebag or anything BSD but you are wrong about Everything or nothing being the first bond game to do third person. They made a Bond game for the PS1 called Tommorrow Never Dies that was third person.
Honestly I thought it looked rough too. I just chalked it up to being early footage but at the same time, the game play doesn't look all that unique either. Basically CoD4 indoors with a cover system. I've heard good things about it before I saw this trailer (can't remember if they were hands on or not) but this kind of underwhelmed me.
Wow, not looking too good from the trailer, and the Rainbow Six comparisons are right on. I think it's pretty dumb to compare a game not yet, to one already out, for example when he said "There'll be boss battles and QTE like God of War". It just makes it seem like you're copying.
This is a "work in progress," just like we saw when we were at Treyarch. So keep that in mind. But with that said you'd like to hope that with a fall release the game would be looking more polished by now.
It's a game based on a movie franchise built upon a series of novels... I'm not expecting anything worthwhile and anything better will surprise me (unlike Iron Man The Game).
I think this looks like a lot of fun and gives me hope the next (true) CoD game will have a cover mechanic.
I agree that the graphics don't really impress me all that much, but I'm just hoping that maybe this was taken with older code. I'm sure we'll see some new fresh stuff at E3.

That being said this game looks very meh.
The fact his arms HAVE A LIFE OF THEIR OWN?!?!?
Remember when people just made mods instead of making entirely new games based on existing concepts and engines? Those were the days.
You really think a movie licensed game will be GOOD? Man you sure have alot of faith in the video game biz..lol.
