interesting.....

kidna dissapointing, visually looks like they just changed the maps and texturs on phosphor, which has been around over 2 years now. meh, i signed up for the beta, and will prob get fired over this game :)

not to be an ass, but how is a free fps with great levels disappointing? :P

Also, methinks this may be paving for future endeavors with browser based games for id or at least I hope so.

This looks kickass for a free game. I'll try it out. This seems like the kind of thing that can't be easily minimized at work, though, so I'll have to plan accordingly.

I was sent a Beta key for this a while back and forgot about it. I had no idea what it was and I'm certainly no pro with the mouse and keyboard. I'll have to check it out I suppose.

I understand it's both free and browser-based, but so too is Battlefield (last I heard). And to me, it just looks like they put a lot more time and effort into Battlefield to offer a new fun experience.

Now, I understand Quake is a different kinda experience on purpose, but seeing Battlefield in action in comparison to this just reassure my thought that id coulda done more with this (granted the brief snippets of community site functionality look pretty cool and engaging).

I dunno... I understand the point of its appeal, I think it just doesn't happen to appeal to me. I'm a huge customization fan, so, yeah. I'll try it when it comes out, I'm sure, but I can't see myself getting drawn into like I did even with my brief time with Combat Arms during the closed beta. We'll see, we'll see...
