Ever since the ball was dropped about Big Willie and Steven Spielberg remaking Oldboy, facepalms could be heard around the innernets. Well some more info has appeared on the webs. Oh and they have a scribe now!
The scribe is...Mark. It just said Mark. Who is this mysterious Mark fellow? Can we trust him? Actually he was one of the screenplay writers for
I Am Legend and the name is Mark Protosevich. I Am Legend, huh? This movie is instant win!
Along with that, the Fresh Prince does some speaking on the movie. Can we rest assured that it isn't a remake of the movie? Instead it is an
adaptation of the original graphic novel.
We're looking at that right now. Not the film though, the original source material. There's the original comics of 'Oldboy' that they made the first film from. And that's what we're working from, not an adaptation of the film.
So they are going to take an 8-volume manga and turn it into a hour and half movie? But how do the movie and graphic novel differ? I for sure didn't read it so I don't know. Anyone know? But you know, this might give the movie a bit more hope, right?
Who am I kidding, we are all still doomed!

I haven't read the books, but I've heard the original movie is much more darkerere and grittierer compared to the novels.. or something to that effect.
Err.....
Let Big Willie do his thang.
