This past weekend I finally got my Xbox 360 in the mail. Despite suckiness of the hardwar, I have to admit that it took only two weeks which is shorter than I thought it be. But I was greeted with a partially familiar face. It isn't fully familiar as I had not seen it before but still...
I plugged up the 360 with all its necessary parts and put it in its place. I hit the circular power button and then what the..?!
What is this? Okay, well let's look at the console.
Yeah, that's right...ONE red light of death! Beat that! It is so much better than your puny "three red lights of death."
I just turned it off and started it back up and it worked "fine." I put fine in quotation marks cause it is a relative term. It works fine for a 360 console. It no where near touches the performance of my other consoles. For one, the 360 still freezes when I play games. On top of that...this 360 (manufactured this year mind you) is the loudest it has ever been. This is either due to me hearing the quiet purr of my PS3 for so long and then hearing the 737 take off or it just being a humongously loud piece of hardware.
It turns out that the E68 error code is a Voltage Error...saying there is not enough power to run the 360 even though I had it set up like I did before. Strange. Looks like 360 works just as "good" as it did before. At least I still don't get disc read errors.
Either way, I am 360 bound again for the time being. That reminds me, who else is
downloading Mega Man 9 today!? Can't wait!
I've always rubbed it in peoples faces that I haven't had many problems with my 360 and I'm not going to stop now.
Whats your 360 power plugged into??
ive never had to send off my console, do you have to send the leads back aswell? I only ask as there are two types of power supply for the 360???....
They had me take out any games, unplug everything and the harddrive and mail the console itself (nothing else) to them to fix. And I beleive only one type pf power supply.
one has 3 pins and one has 2pins(175w)
'These Elites (and other Xbox 360 models using the Falcon) can be identified from earlier versions by a re-designed power connector and a power supply that runs at 175w. The motherboard layout is also different.'
Could just be me!
When I got The Orange Box I didn't have a PC that could run it fast enough for my tastes, so I went for the version that would run smoothly. I finally upgraded my PC so I'm getting Left 4 Dead on PC.
@Toneman
Can it. Some of us prefer it on the 360. Get over it, people.
