So Sega is making their Arcade Light Gun Shooter game Ghost Squad into a Wii game. And why the heck not? The Wiimote tends to BEG for a game like this so we should satisfy its
desires!
There is a two page interview with Ghost Squad's creative producer, Yosuke Okunari over at IGN with some interesting tidbits (and more
pics) about the how the game will use the vibrationg feature, and speaker for gun shots and blah blah blah. Oh yeah, they mention that the game will
ONLY use the Wiimote. Perhaps
that peripheral or
this peripheral are not pointless.
Along with that news, some new features in the Wii version that is not in the arcade is the the inclusion of a Four Player mode! Yosuke was unable to divulge more info but he did say that it will not just be co-op but also some competetive skills. I don't know about you but 4 player co-op alone could just be sweet.
Unfortunately it is in 4:3 mode and not 16:9, they wanted to keep it similar to the arcade.
I saw the game in the arcade and got a chance to play it...with its neon green light gun holster and sweet set up not as hard as Time Crisis 3 but it was loads of fun, even if the sight/aim was off a little. Although I am unsure if it will have the same feel without the sweet plastic rifle from the arcades. But I am anxious to find out...
With a tenative release date of November 6, any bets on whether it will beat
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles out of the gate as the first light gun shooting game on the Wii?

i like your header picture btw. Quite nice :).
Also supposedly in RE:UC if you hold the cursor on a zombie's head, it your crosshair shrinks to get a better shot off in the head for a nice mess!
