This is just wrong. I felt so dirty watching this. It is just made of fail. This top ten list is for the best FPS and not just console and decide on those? Have you no shame? You can't see me now but my hand is firmly placed on my face.
Half-Life 2 is that low on the list while Halo is that HIGH? Sure, Halo was popular but it wasn't epic, amazing, or just sheer awesome! The campaign was ridiculous and stupid and the multiplayer was only good when you didn't want to study in college.
ScrewAttack, you fail me. To think I helped you out in the CoD4 Tournament at MAGFest and then pranked your room late at night. I thought we were close, I thought we were friends. I guess its war.
When I first watched this video I walked away thinking that the list and it's order were pure crap! Then I took a step back and realized this was a top 10 "console" FPS list. Show me a top 10 PC FPS list and I'll make a more appropriate response. Consoles FPSs just don't hold a candle to the greatness of PC FPSs.
Doom 3 doesn't deserve to be on there. It tried to be scary and failed miserably. You can't scare somebody if he's holding a goddamn minigun.

At least it was Halo 1 and not Halo 2. Halo 1 was okay in my opinion, it's the other ones that are overrated piles of Shite.
Doom 3 wasn't better than Doom 1&2. Also, CoD4 murders all of those games, it should be first. CoD made me feel like I was a little boy playing Goldeneye 64 multiplayer. No other FPS has done that, not even Halo. I like Halo, but it holds nothing on Cod4.
Yeah, watched this before. Wasn't very happy about it either. Then again, it's their list and they can put whatever they want on it. If I'd get upset over every shitty list on the internets I'd probably have killed myself by now.

Overall, I liked the list. I'm a little upset the Unreal series didn't make the cut, as I believe Unreal did more for FPS games than BioShock did (especially since there's only been one BioShock) but it was still a decent list nonetheless.
Also, the Oddjob quote at the end made me lol. We ALWAYS banned him when I played with my buddies unless a girl was playing. Then we'd lose to her because of it, haha. Great times.
@B-Radicate: I did watch the video, though there were tears in my eyes the whole time. While many of the games on that list started off as PC games, they were all console games at one point or another. Heck when they showed the game box for Half-Life they showed the PS2 version. There is not a single game on that list that was PC exclusive. When a top 10 list has the #1 and #2 spots filled by console exclusive FPS shooters the list is a "top 10 console FPS" list.

On topic, I though this was ok but they should put HL2 way higher, like closer to 1 - 3. I thought Battlefield 2 or 1942 should have made the list. Without Handsome Tom these lists kinda blow but I would like to see what they do with an RTS list.

Let's just list some of the greats shall we: Unreal Tournament, Half Life, Team Fortress, Jedi Knight:DF2, No One Lives Forever, Far Cry, Battlefield 1942, The Chronicles of Riddick: EFBB, Portal (could be argued whether this is a FPS or not), Serious Sam, The Wheel of Time. All great PC games, none of which were mentioned.
Wow ... all I said originally was that the list was console-centric and that I think PC FPSs are better then console FPSs. Apperently this ruffled some feathers in the community. Maybe I'll write my own post about this, giving you guys a better place to bash the hell out of me. ;-)

When they mentioned Wolfenstein 3D, Duke Nukem, and Quake they definitely were NOT talking about any horrible ports or rehashes that were released years later. Please.
Plus, for the games that WERE ported to consoles, the list is talking about story and gameplay, which usually translates pretty damn decently to consoles. Maybe the gameplay isn't as twitch, but the story of games like HL2 (which I agree should have been higher) certainly translates no matter what format your playing it on, which is the point of the list AND the game. For the record, I played HL2 on Xbox and 360 and enjoyed both experiences quite a bit, despite the fact I used a controller pad and not a mouse & keyboard, thank you.
Also, many people would argue Goldeneye is the best FPS of all time. It certainly revolutionized story telling and addictive gameplay in FPS games AND opened the door for the genre on consoles, which are currently home to hundreds of FPS titles that all sell very well. It was like the gateway game for many current FPS fanatics, myself included (despite the fact I believe Perfect Dark to be the superior N64 FPS). Just 'cause it wasn't the first doesn't mean it can't be the best.

Guys let's chill out for a bit. I thought the list was ok although I would have swapped Doom 3 for Unreal Tournament but seriously Halo has done a lot for the FPS genre. I'm not really a fan but you can't deny the impact it's had and that has to mean something.
Halo did nothing to FPS genre that wasn't already done before. It just sped up the process of it coming the consoles. Halo has all been done before when it came out. Just some of it wasn't on consoles yet.
