Dear Ps3 Friday night fight member, Dtoiders, and anyone else who would like to pay their respects
Sadly Today I make my non awaited return to the C-blog bearing sad news’s, I was informed last night that as of January 28, 2011 Y0j1mb0’s PS3 has passed away, it leaves behind 2 fight sticks, 2 controller, and over 100 games.
We feel your pain, man
My PS3 knew jimbos PS3 well, many a night were spent playing Socom, Street Fighter, Call of Duty in its various incarnations, Street Fighter, Killzone 2, Street fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Street Fighter, Blaze blue, did I mention Street Fighter yet ?
yep some of the highlights
Don’t worry about jimbo though (or delete him off your friends list ) FNF regular moosehole is currently attempting to revive the old war dog, and if that doesn’t work he is already prepared to buy a slim, however if you feel like sending a gift as a condolence, he takes tequila.
As for the rest of us I ask tonight you raise your glass in honor of one of the fallen (like half of you need an excuse to drink) and the welcoming back of the old friend or new replacement, and incase that was its last game of street fighter, Godspeed , and may you rest in peace in the great recycle bin in the sky.
( long story short Don’t wipe him from your friends list he will be Back in a few.)
Ah, he sucked at Street Fighter anyway... Just never wanted to say anything. I mean, I thought maybe, eventually, he might get a lucky round in, but he never seemed to beat me. Regardless, he's probably dancing around with his Kinect as we speak.
yeah my ps3 died a couple of months ago , It does seem like someone is targeting our console , i think it is time to don the tinfoil hats and wrap our console in it for good measure.
... must be something in the air what with PS3 units dropping like flies!
Monngoose's PS3 was actually my original 60GB PS3 so it had a good life. It was funny because it did the same thing that the 80GB did (which we replaced about six months ago), it just kept turning itself off... then blinking red light. We managed to get the game out both times, but now both our original consoles are dead and we've got the new slims. I found someone local who'll repair them both for $100. (if it's the paste and they can be repaired) so I think we'll do that... and next time a console dies (because chances are good at least one of them will at some point) then we'll have a replacement unit set to go.
... or else we'll set up a LAN center at home with 4 PS3's and start charging people! LOL!
(actually I've often had the thought that an after school care center for children aged 4-14ish might benefit from gaming... occupy the children while also teaching them through gaming. Using the group to plan out and build a Little Big Planet level.... teaching them to work together. Ok... I'm rambling now.. )
Anyway, my sympathies Yojimbo! Glad to hear that there are back up plans and you'll be back with us soon.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Orders, HUP
*playes bagpipes*
But I digress... LOL
In any case, hope that the Moosehole plan works out, and as always, CONDOLENCES BRO.
LOLOLOLOLOLOL
You pickin' up a 'nother one duder?
I send him my condolences...
Sad day today folks, sad day indeed.

I sent him a message over Xbox live, but he hasn't been there either, he's gone dark.
