There is no way in hell that PC gaming is dying out and you have lost your damn mind if you think that. PC is where games are born and flourish outside of their release dates. They are real community things where you can mod to your hearts content til every single thing about the game you played is totally different and a brand new experience. Let's see a console pull that off. You think you can play COD4 on the console and expect to see guns from Halo in there? Hell and no. Or maybe a reskin of Alyx to be Samus to play through some Half Life 2 on your 360? Didn't think so. Also, with your TF2 on 360 or PS3, can you go and get hundreds of different maps or make your own for your locked in consoles? How about some updates on occasion? And let's go to RTS's too, are you gonna be playing Starcraft for hours online on your 360 or Wii? No? What a shame. What's that Timmy? Want to play some Counterstrike on your 360? Oh, you can't? Cause they don't support that? What's that? They still don on the PC? But why, Timmy? It isn't new and shiny and making lots of money for developers, why would they still have maps and skins and servers for it? It's fun you say? Lots of people still enjoy it and support it you say? Well let's go teabag some of them right now Timmy.

Even though I am not a PC gamer myself, I totally agree that PC gaming is a very important branch of the gaming universe. It is totally awesome that all those Half-Life mods exist, but I do prefer console gaming myself. But no need to bash console gaming. Console gaming provides a great uniform experience, so no need to upgrade you're specs to play that new game, all you have to do is pay $500 and you are set to go for another 5-7 years. Also, I can't think of any epic RPGs that are on the PC besides things made by Bethesda.

I feel I am justified in the face of the enormous tidal waves of PC game dying blogs, articles, news, podcasts, etc that pour forth constantly. Pisses me off to no end.

Wow PC elitists just tick me off. All they do is fall back on 'we can mod games and you cant' as their arguement. Well you know what. Big. Freakin. Deal.

I play games to enjoy the actual game, not waste my time making said image seen above.

I also love how PC gamers fail to accept that the only popular things they have are WoW, a couple good RTS titles, and bunch of Half Life 2 mods. The fact that PC elitists still have to fall back on CounterStrike is just a symbol of how far behind PC gaming has fallen... seriously, CounterStrike has been around for how long? And nobody has made a PC exclusive title that can top it yet? Everything else they have is out on consoles, and is argueably done better.

And for the record, Crysis sucked.

Crysis sucked, but I play on my PC, and I just couldnt play an FPS with a controller.
I dont believe PC and console are not compatible, in fact I think the best is to have the best of both worlds. I just wish that developers start developing for both consoles and PC. STEAM is big right now and the platform for any PC gamer.
