D&D? Why not?

So for those of you that were there, we had a discussion on the IRC last night about starting a possible Dungeons and Dragons campaign for Dtoiders. Now the main problem with this is getting people together to do such a thing. And how do we do it. Do we want a video thing where we can all see each other? Audio is probably essential as the DM would prob rather not want to type everything up. So Skype could be a possibility, or even IRC with voice, whichever. Now you may not need to be able to talk back, but the DM should be able to talk to you. At any rate, if you got some D&D books lying around and want to try it out, lets start something. So drop some comments on ideas or if your interested and we can work out something possibly.

If you're looking for a good online tabletop, Fantasy Grounds is hands down the best one out there. Costs a bit, but it's entirely worth it, the client can be modified for just about any tabletop rpg.

Good idea, Bigby. I'm surprised something like this hasn't been undertaken before. I would be interested in playing/assisting the DM. Depending on how many people want to play, it may be necessary to have multiple assistants or groups.

If I can get that Fantasy Grounds thing going I could use that, but any other suggestions would be welcome. As for DM well I suppose I could but if anyone has more experience than me that would be nice too.

Sounds like it would be a ton of fun. I've actually got an RPG system that I need playtesters for, if anyone'd be willing to give it a try. I'll write up the basic concept and rules later tonight...
