About Me
Son of a "WoW" player, and a Collicovision and Atari addict. Started playing video games when I was about 3 or 4. The very first game that I remember was MK for the Sega Genesis. Until one day i came home from kindergarten or pre-k and saw my beloved Sega was gone. My mother told me she gave it to charity, and that was when I got a Playstation. Now I am an accomplished gamer on the consoles and teh internets... I have a lvl 62 Night Elf Hunter. That is all.

I'm into shooters and other stuff, right now I'm playing Gears of War (P.C./Xbox360) Halo 3, Rock Band, Madden 08(not sure if I should get 09), NBA 08, Castle Crashers, Metal Slug, Tetris

I listen to Alt Rock, Pop Rock, Pop, Metal, Screamo, Club, & RnB

I like to make de videos of de porno, jk

NBA Live 09(Demo)
BigBaby9199 | 5:15 PM on 09.08.2008 8 comments

The demo for NBA LIVE 09' came out just recently, and i gotta say that this is really promising. First off they took out that quiz mini-game when preparing to play a match. Second, the moves in this version look fantastic, fluid, and very responsive. Other than that the fans in attendence look pretty bad but, who gives a fuck about them anyways right? In the demo before you get to the game menu they let you shoot around the court but let you move to different sides of the training court, and you can see the other Celtics warming up and shooting around. The free throw system is easy, all you have to do is hold the B button untill it matches in the green zone above the backboard and release. Also their is a small shooting meter below your charecter in training to show you how long or little you are holding the shot button. The two teams they let u play as are The Celtics and The Lakers. The shooting in this game is improved from last year. In my opinion this could beat NBA 2K9.

eh...I doubt people will save live 09 > 2k9.

but what do I know? I haven't played a serious sports game since NBA Live 98.

I can't tell the difference between 2k and live series of basketball games. Someone please elaborate.

people say Live feels more like an arcade game whereas the 2k series is more of a sports simulation.

or so I hear.

@randombullseye

2k is more of a simulation of real life nba games and nba Live has always been a more "showy" arcadey basketball game. nba2k is almost always the better selling game due to that.

I can't tell the difference. They play the same to me. It's basketball. Am I missing something? They both use the analog sticks for free throws, they both feature NBA teams, announcers, changing camera angles, replay mode, and all the various other stuff you would expect from an NBA game.

I've been contemplating buying a older one cheap for awhile.

"Ahhh, Basketball video games I'll buy that at a low price."

In the Live series, its possible to fast break and dunk on every possession, so its not exactly simulation.

The 2k series seems to have better AI, and the game makes you work for your basket a little more.

I prefer the 2k series, but I also still like to play NBA Jam.
