The name is Brent. I currently live among the residents of Virginia Beach, Virginia. I like liquor, women, fighting, poker, and of course video-games. I am overly sarcastic which many mistake as me being an asshat. I currently do not own any next-gen systems due to money constraints but in due time my friends.In due time.

I used to write for GameCube Advanced, an old site back in the day. They are currently known as the Advanced Media Network now. I sometimes believe I have a Video-Game system as a heart, my arms are the controllers, and I feed on shitty published titles (such as Superman 64). Video-gaming is a way of life and much of the Destructoid community knows this.

The Effects of a Cold Day Gaming Session

Is it just me or is there something to staying inside on an extremely cold day, all bundled up in warm-full bliss and playing your favorite video-game? Sure, you can play that game anytime of the year but there is a special magical time when playing that same game on a chilly afternoon. Sitting in front of your television and on your cozy couch (or floor) and knowing that outside its Chilly McChilsters out there, but you are inside and enjoying a nice dose of gaming bliss. Only in certain conditions can that feeling be felt. You get this tingly sensation and you know you are about to have a fantastic session of peaceful video-game playing. Nothing else matters, not inside or out. You are within your own confines of warmth and entertainment and everything else is blocked. Ah, what a great feeling that is. I am not a fan of Winter weather but I do look for that time of year when you can just plop in front of your T.V. and get your game on. Special times like these are only felt by a gamer.

I like it when it's cold, dark, and rainy. Nothing like watching porn and/or playing some games all snuggled up/touching yourself.

I did a little bit of that today, but got too POed at the shitty matchmaking system for COD4 (why does it have to dump me into games, and onto the side that's about to lose 50% of the time?!?!?!).

Yesterday, I didn't get out of bed until I beat Super Mario Bros. 3 (about an hour with warp whistles). My favorite experience like this was during my undergraduate days, in my cramped apartment, looking out the window at barren trees and massive snow drifts huddled up against the side of the building.

The moonlight reflecting off of the snow provided the perfect amount of light. The game I was playing was Elder Scrolls III: GOTY Edition, playing the Bloodmoon expansion. That reminds me, I want a humungous version of Sostlheim (sp?) in the next ES installment.

There is something about a rainy day that makes me want to get a giant blanket and play Harvest Moon. I don't even really like Harvest Moon, but I can't help myself from playing it when it's pouring outside.

It does. When my fingers get cold my typing ability goes to shit. Although, living in California, cold to me is whenever it drops below 70.
