Unfinished Business.
Basch | 1:35 PM on 06.22.2008 1 comments

I tend to get a game and play it for a while thinking; "Gee Whizz this is swell, I want to play this to the very end -smiley face-." Until a new super special awesome game comes out, I buy it and the other game picks up dust.

It's a very bad habit of mine which has caused many unfinished RPGs to weep in the green room.

Examples of Unfinishedness:

- LoZ: Twilight Princess
- Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3
- GTA 4 (which is a special circumstance and wouldn't be on this list if my xbox hadn't red ringed ¬¬)
- Final Fantasy I, II, III, IV, VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, XII
et cetera, et cetera.

There are the rare breeds of games which I play to the very end

- The Orange Box (minus TF:2 which doesn't end)
- BioShock
- Oblivion
- Mass Effect

Notice how all of those are on the Xbox 360? Well that's just coincidence really, nothing special about those games, maybe besides Mass Effect as I love some hot alien boobage and Sci-Fi

The only games I finish are the ones which i get when little to nothing is coming out or I have a long space of time which I am doing nothing, such as the build up to Christmas, or Summer.

I will conquer the games listed at the top, minus some of the Final Fantasy games as those will suck me in like the gravitational pull of Uwe Boll's ego and I will never see the light of day for many weeks.

I'm off to play some Okami and leave it to die when Super Smash Bros. Brawl finally comes out here.

I finish roughly half of my games. I finish those I enjoy, and those I don't I just stop. Last game I completed was Resi Evil though, and that feels like aggges ago!

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
