What Pooped your Cherry?

OK no disgusting images today. Just plain and simple. This is not the first game you ever played (Facemaker 2000 for PC for me) but the first game that made you shit a brick and say "wow I fucking love video games."

I really would have to say getting a supernintendo chalmers when I was ten is what sealed the deal. Super Mario Fucking World, before I beat it a million times with all the emulated and gba versions, was fucking magic.

It was the first time I pretended to be sick to stay home from school, leading me down the road to my current life of crime and debauchery. Yay video games!

Sad part is I never really had a game like that cause for as long as I have remembered...I loved playing them.

King's Quest, the first one. I couldn't read, constantly died and the damn castle door would not open no matter what string of gibberish I mashed out of the keyboard. Didn't matter though, I still loved the hell out of it.

Hey, I think I made that image! SW33T! Recognize!

Me... Mario Brothers. The first one. I loved it and played it too death. If NES controllers were capable of being worn out then I would have just on that game alone. That started it for me. It was a Duck Hunt combo cartridge too, so I was living it up for some time.

@ Snail... Did you honestly expect that popped cherry or pooped cherry would bring good results? Even with "SafeSearch" on?

...saaaaffee...seeeaaarrcchh..? You should've seen the pic with the fat chick and massive piles of crap on her face. Like it was raining poo.

I had the combo too. I fucking own'd that game and anyone else who played with me. He'd be Luigi, and I'd beat the game (usually) before he could get to world 2.

Super Mario Land in 89 on the brickboy. Was visiting one of my parents' friends and they gave me the GameBoy to stfuajpg. It worked. Then I swapped cartridges to Tetris, a game which I still play every day on my DS :D

It actually wasn't until very late in my life that I began to live and breathe games. I used to love my Commodore 64 as a kid, and when I upgraded to a Mega Drive there were a select few games I'd go mental on, but it was never games in general. Partly because we were fucking poor. Shit, we never got an NES until fucking, late nineties.

When Final Fantasy VII and Metal Gear Solid came along, I began to appreciate gaming as a storytelling medium, and that's when I very slowly began to get absorbed into them (and convince myself I could actually play these things) and by the time I got my PS2, Dynasty Warriors grabbed me by the balls and wouldn't let go.

It's quite terrible when people always mention these classic NES games and the like, and I just blurt out "Dynasty fucking Warriors", but there ya go :)

I was gonna say something, but there ya go. It's cool you founds games (Metal Gear) to be an entertaining storytelling medium, and weird seeing as how some people get into it from totally different aspects.

My first game was Barbie Horse Adventures. The raw interspecies erotica minigames that that game had were truly outrageous, and that's how I got hooked to games.

YOU NEVER FUCKING PLAYED IT, SO YOU HAVE NO IDEA.

First game I played that made me like gaming was Chaos for the ZX Spectrum....but the first game that made me go HOLY FUCK GAMEZ CAN BE PURDY AN INTERESTINS TOO was Ocarina of Time as I sadly skipped from a spectrum to N64 so missed out on the sweet early nintendy stuff.

Also the first C&C largely because that just plain rocked.

That's such a tough question to answer. I was always into video games. As a little kid, a vaguely remember playing pitfall on intelivision for hours on end. The first two that really had me hooked though, were Mike Tyson's Punch-Out and Kung-Fu. I still remember the first time I beat Tyson. After being brought almost to the brink of tears getting past that first minute and a half, finally knocking him out will forever be a memory etched into my brain. I remember just yelling "Fuck you Mike" at the TV when I was 6 years old. I was an awesome kid.

Tough one... i guess i slipped into it... The first time i realised what a video game could be if it was totally fucking amazing was obviously Beyond Good and Evil, but everything growing up (Doom, C&C, Broken Sword and so on).

Argh... presed enter by accident.

...but everything growing up has influenced me to love games, aside from turning to them as a form of escapism.

I'm so stealing that "The More You Know" image.

Probably playing Star Wars arcade in a sit down cabinet with Obi Wan telling me to "Use the Force, Luke!".
