Toshiba Corp. is expected to pull out of the HD DVD
business early this week, people familiar with the
situation said, marking the end of one of the biggest and
most-expensive format battles in the electronics industry
since the VHS format's defeat of Betamax nearly three
decades ago.
The decision makes Sony Corp.'s Blu-ray technology the
de facto standard for high-definition DVD players, which
can show movies with crisp images on big, flat-panel
digital televisions. Sony declined to comment.
Could a control fix be on the way? Go ahead and read
between these lines.
"If we find a chance in the future that would bring Lair to
the audience which didn't get any access, that would be
fantastic," stated Eggebrecht. "I can't say anything quite
yet, but there might be something in the works there. We
might have a chance yet to bring those back to the table
and hopefully, if that should happen, they would give the
game a second chance Nevertheless, we definitely took a
long look at the results and learned a couple of lessons. If
you're on a platform where this whole motion control is
something new and not being pitched as the main feature
of the platform, you should probably give the choice
between having different control schemes, there is
absolutely no doubt about it."

IS it too late to save this game?
Are the PPL @ Factor 5 jerking us around?...
Like their Sixaxis flying Dragon's.
Will it help the game sell? or is it TOO LATE TOO BAD?
Everyone's got an opinion. Valid or Not. Sane or Crazy.
-----------------------------------
It's been Hyped by Capcom :
"If you don't want to watch the 'Previously, on Devil May
Cry...' portion of the install process, go make a sandwich
and grab a soda, then come on back," Kramer joked.
"You're going to be spending some serious time with this
game, and we don't want you going hungry. Low blood
sugar will make you dizzy and you'll need to be focused
like an Alan Parsons Project to defeat the enemies in this
game.
"Wah! Have you ever played a PC game? At least we
aren't making you shuffle multiple discs into a ROM drive,
or continuously click 'Yes!' on a series of endless Windows
dialog boxes," the Capcom man continues, possibly
shuffling the install-less yet basically identical 360 version
out of view.
----------------------------------
But I ask you would you go through the install? OR
Just play the game with a couple second loading delay?
Here's a run down video of what you could be doing
instead of installing....

Disaster: You Guerrillas Have Created a Drainzone
Take it away, friendo:
remember this story? that figure was actually €21 million
($30 million) and it has only gone up from there (by gone
up i mean it has doubled to €42 million/$60 million). by
the time killzone 2 comes out it will dethrone shenmue as
the most expensive video game ever made. the game
should have cost the former figure but guerrilla's
managerial lacks any sort of financial or work allocation
skills, the studio has high turnover and a few other things.
because of this incapacity a nice portion of the team at
studio cambridge is assisting in development. to top this
off the game may be pretty but it's barely mediocre and
past the point of no return. the september release date
floating around will without doubt be missed if guerrilla
sticks to their intention of not releasing the game until its
done which will be early next year.
To add to this, over at Insomniac, there is a general
feeling of sharp resent towards Guerrilla and Killzone, as
they believe that Guerrilla is imbibing the currency whilst
they are delivering. In far less time and with less people,
Insomniac have a far better title that is further along in
development. This resent seems justified.
Everyone knows about the Xbox 360 RROD (red ring of
death) thanks to some 33% of games consoles getting
this problem, now we have proof of the Sony PS3 death
with a so called YLOD.
The video below shows a Playstation 3 with yellow lights,
it sounds like a hard drive gone bad to me from the
clicking noise as that’s what I have had with many PC
hard drives.
Every product gets faults, but it’s just what percentage of
that product that counts. We have heard around 1% of
PS3’s have problems and why shouldn’t they, but this is
nothing compared to the well known and joked about
world-wide RROD.
In the case of the gamer that made this video below, his
console has already been taken away by Sony.
Update from Site:
raza514 made a good point, the sound is not coming from
