Tonight, I'm going to be playing Shadowrun on XBL. If you have this game, pop it in and come play with me! It's cross-platform so don't be shy PC users! I wrote about this a while ago, but here's a repost of some of my thoughts.


"It's fun as hell to play. The game has a ton of Magic and Tech options to choose from, so customization and varying what each player on your team has is the key to victory, as each round starts with a buy menu for obtaining weapons, magic, and tech. I'm partial to teleporting through walls but others seem to like the glider or turning to smoke and avoiding bullets.

The maps are well planned, as none of them seem to cater to a certain type of magic or tech. They also vary in themes and setting, so no maps feel repetitive.

The game's three modes are fun, but nothing special. All focus on what is basically a flag, the Artifact. They are Raid (1 Flag CTF), Extraction (2 Flag CTF), and Attrition (Deathmatch where the Artifact acts as a radar). The rigidity of the settings is somewhat of a letdown. Being able to restrict certain items or make custom rules would have been a great addition."
