September Unleashes The Force

IGN is reporting this morning that the hotly anticipated new entry in the Star Wars universe, The Force Unleashed, will be released this September 16.

The game utilizes ground breaking new technology to bring the world to life and also happens to let you tear it apart with crazy Force-based abilities. Plus, it's set between the unexplored times between Episode III and Episode IV, which means the story will be rife with brand new characters and content.

I, for one, am extremely excited for this game. I was really into Star Wars back in high school but my love sorta died off after the Prequels. This game is the perfect way for me to rekindle my love for it.

I've never much been a fan of Star Wars as a setting, but this game simply looks astounding. Here's hoping we don't get another delay.

I wish they would have just made a decent Jedi Knight series game on the 360. Force powers are neat and all, but we're all in it for the lightsabers... let's be honest.

Less fancy lightning effects, more limb dismemberment plz.

I started out with high expectations for this on the Wii but my hopes have dimmed. Here's to 5% chance it will be just as awesome as I've hoped
