Yeah, I just read about it. Pretty sad stuff. I haven't played D&D in a long while, but his influenced is felt throughout the ages, and he will be missed.
Failed his saving throw versus the Grim Reaper. Thanks for the memories Gary.
Wow. I haven't played one of his games in probably fifteen years now, but this man is responsible for popularizing one mof my favorite forms of entertainment. Sorry to hear of his passing.
Quick someone cast raise dead. I already used up all my 5th level spells for the day.
I feel like casting magic missile on the people who make anymore D&D related jokes.
Damn this is a bummer.
A moment of silence for a man who brought a lot of people joy and dice-rolling through D&D.
R.I.P...
Guess he'll have to re-roll.
Aw, man. I remember seeing that episode of Futurama that he guest-starred on, along with Al Gore and Stephen Hawking.
Of all the saving throws to miss...
RIP DM of all DM's
You will be missed Gary, thanks for the great game and all the memories of growing up with a d20 in my hand!
Damn, I was never a D&D fan but his influence can be felt in almost every facet of gaming.
yeah, this is sadness
Whether or not you ever rolled for initiative, you can't help but realize the reach of one person's vision.
Gaming, table top and otherwise, has grown by leaps and bounds since the conception of interactive fiction. There were countless people that help grow D&D into what it is today but you'd be hard pressed to find another person that has been so influential on our favorite pastime.
He not only has left behind one hell of a legacy, but it's one we can all appreciate and enjoy.
I'm with you Aziel13. I can't imagine my childhood without D&D, or those games and books influenced by it.
Sunday night's dungeon crawl shall be dedicated to this fine hero.
He's in Lolth's sweet, delicious, web filled embrace now. And as much as I love the guy for bringing me years of delicious D&D goodness, theres no way i'm going down to the Demonweb Pits to go get him. I hope she treats you well gentle prince of the pen & paper.
Shit...
I haven't played DND in a long time, but I owe this man for all the fun times I had playing DND and the various spin-off video games.
At least he went out on an awesome number.
