'Juno' to have videogame?
Axion22 | 11:26 AM on 02.11.2008 5 comments

Mmm, hear that? That's another movie license being dragged, kicking and screaming, across the media threshold from movie to video game. How it's going to translate, well how well can you translate a teen pregnancy-centric plot into a video game? If you're a Fox subsidiary, I have a very suspicious feeling you can't, no matter who you contract.

Fox Searchlight, the studio behind "Juno" is shopping the property around, and supposedly Crave Entertainment and 7 Studios are already enlisted.

As far as what type of game it will be, that's purely speculation at this point. It could be anything, but the question, yet again, is... "What are you suits thinking?"

UPDATE

Apparently... not so much...

Either that, or the plug was pulled already because of the collective moan heard 'round the gaming community.

Thanks Sadie G

Well, they apparently made a game based on Napoleon Dynamite so I guess anything is possible.

I have high hopes that you'll be impregnating Ellen Page for the majority of the game. And the other parts will consist of watching Michael Cera act awkward for 90 minutes, and creepy cutscenes of Ellen Page and Justin Bateman gazing at each other.

LOL @DvD

That whole Justin/Ellen interaction was scraying me just a little.

This game will be made of fail but the movie was quite enjoyable.

DVDesign is right. If i am not using my Wiimote or Sixaxis to impregnate Ellen Page.... & deliver the crap/piss machine by C-Section. For the majority of the game, I'm Out!!!

There likely won't be a game as this was mentioned as an example of an indie turned hit.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

PC Gaming. Because I don't want your media conglomerate's toybox. And I hate your controllers.

Computer hardware expert and technology aficionado, my roots in PC gaming began in overclocking. For what better purpose should you be pushing your hardware to its maximum capacity than to crank those in-game sliders all the way up on max. resolution?
