Whats up C-Bloggers and C-Blog readers, I have a simple question.
How did you get your online name? Was it handed down to you from your great grandfather the pacific ocean bacon pirate? Or was the birth of your handle more of a scientific process. Give me the down low in the comments.
How did I get my name?
It's kinda boring and technical. Heres the story, I originally started with the name
'President' which I gave myself because I was the leader of a clan for Rainbow Six back in 1997. I was just a kid so it sounded hardcore to me..
Turns out I just got made fun of everyday. Eventually I changed my name to
'Pyro' when Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear lauched. After a while I felt that was to generic so I changed it to
'Pyrex'. Then i figured out Pyrex is actually a form of high temperature glass.
Damn! I liked the way that name sounded and people called me Rex for short.. Ya stupid dog name.. 'Pyrex' then evolved like a pokemon on steroids into
'Rexm'. I rolled with that name for a few months and then eventually realized it sounded stupid as hell. Around this time I was hardcore with Unreal Tournament, I wanted a name that was futuristic and maintained the elite letter 'X'. 'Rexm' now became
'Xero'. Yes finally a name I liked but no one could pronouce it.
As time passed I signed up for MSN Zone to play some Age of Empires: Age of Kings this was around 1999. Xero was already taken so they generated the name
'Avid' infront of Xero. I liked it. It stuck with me and eventually when Xbox Live came around people had to say my name, no one could pronouce Xero so Avid became my first name. Here I am today..
'Avid X' ; gamertag avid x3ro.
I always kinda liked kevlar being in my name because it's bulletproof... but it isn't too unique of a name on it's own, so I needed to add something else... For a while I was thinking about using "kevlar boxers" or something like that... but I kinda wanted something more serious. don't know why I settled on gibs... maybe because it's slightly oxymoronic.
the only changes I've made since I picked this name was to take the space or underscore out from the middle. so now it's just all one block of letters. "KevlarGibs"
Well the way I got my name all started one fateful night...
My mother became pregnant and then my dad was like, Yo! Let's name that nigguh CHALZ~! And then my mom was like CHALZ?! Nigga please! That shit is wack! So then they were like, yeh yeh, we gon name him Charlie.
And then I met the internets.
I suck at creativity. :(
This was the first thing I thought of and I liked it. And it stuck.
Yeah.
I used to work on VHS tapes, but DubbingIntern didn't have quite the same ring. Plus the Gmail address was already taken.
Later, during the days I was addicted to Diablo II (Blizzard's games are like crack to me), I made a Druid named, of course, Oswoc. I decided to go chill in the Druid Grove chat channel. There I was promptly made fun of and called names such as 'god cow.' I thought that was a sweet name so I went to go make a new character called that, but the name was taken. Then I thought it'd be cool if I changed the 'c' to a 'k.'
And that is where god.kow came from(I added a period to separate the words because of gmail, but that's a whole other story.)
Pretty easy explanation. Tiff is my name and '.tiff' is an image file. I'm a graphic designer so it seemed mighty appropriate. Too bad elephant can't process the punctuation before my name...yet.
Coulda been a condenda :<
My GT is Ichigo Sage because:
