Happy birthday! Also protip: if you're running a block and feel like punching out, try to see if you can't just keep going (avoiding fights if need be) until you hit the next checkpoint. That way next time you can just grind downwards if you feel like leveling up.

Also, have you played 4 yet? I was about 15 hours into 3 when I started 4, and now I can't even go back to 3 because 4 is so much better.
I'd agree (though contradicting unangbangkay on Persona is foolishness anyway), I found it a lot easier to grind downwards than up. It's a journey you'll face a lot of fatigue on, so half the battle is sort of minimizing that I think.
I feel the opposite of Jesus, i have almost completed P3 and i love it. I also have P4, but i have trouble really getting into it. So far it feels alot less polished than 3, and i'm not too keen on the setting of the story either

Happy Birthday! I wish I had Persona 3, still need to pick a copy up one of these days. One day i'll know what the hell people are talking about with grinding down and bullets to the head, because it sounds awesome!

@Xandersan & Unanbangkay: I've been mostly storming my way through Tartarus and grinding down, in fact, before the last full moon I even took the time to complete some of elizabeth's requests.
Fuck Persona 3 is awesome. Still need to finish it though.
I finished P3 and tried to get into P4 but ended up playing P3 the second time through instead.

So, was I wrong in thinking that Persona 4 was better than Persona 3? I still havn't played either.
