From the most recent blog post, Valve is finally releasing TF2 for Macs tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow isn't in Valve time.
It's my most played game on Steam and it's been brutal waiting. Now, both Left 4 Dead games and I'll be content for a long time.
This also made me think. Is the poor performance of Source games to blame for the delay of Portal 2? Is Valve playing the waiting game so that Apple will finally update their drivers so that they are decent? (Too many questions!!!...!!!)
OS X 10.6.4 was rumored to have been released around this year's WWDC which would have brought with it, driver updates to OpenGL and better performance for MAH GAEMS! Instead another developer preview was seeded and I'm assuming Valve already has access to 10.6.4 since they are a now a "developer" for Mac so what caused this delay? I'm pretty uneducated when it comes to this stuff. All I can think of is Valve fine tuning their game and fucking with us in the process.
I'm not bashing the game (it actually looks cool and I might check it out), I'm just pointing out the hilarious selling points. I love how the developer is "overt" about some of the features.
1) Legitimate indie-style 'nuff said.
2) What game has or tries to have predictable plot twists?
3) This basically should be a requirement. Some sort of replayability.
4) Bad wording but this actually sounds cool. Based on the screen shots, it doesn't seem like a game that could scare you. "Oh look a cuddly flower thing running around on a level - - OH SHIT, A DEMONIC HAND RISING OUT OF THE GROUND"
They should've made the music one of the selling points. From what I've seen, the music intensifies as the game reaches the darker parts and it isn't annoying so win-win.
I did some research as I was creating this blog so Zaratustra Productions is based in Brazil and I'm guessing that English is not their primary language. Looks like a solid game for a single developer
