About Me
Name: Josh
Age: 30
Most Favorite Game: Xenogears
Least Favorite Game: Resident Evil 5

At 30 years old you would think that I would be tired of games. However, it seems to be the one thing I refuse to grow out of. What can I say? I can sit down and enjoy a good gaming session just as much as I can sit and enjoy reading through the classics of literature. Also, I write things....kinda.

The Last Guy - Zombies invade Google Earth

Google Earth? Zombies? Is this already made of complete Win? I'm pretty sure from what little I've learned of this game that I'm going to buy this as soon as it hits the PSN, but I still need to see gameplay. The Teaser Site looks as if it promises me more than just techno music as of 7/11/2008.

Also, am I the only one addicted to that song? Maybe? hopefully not.

Kotaku has a scan of a preview of the game up which shows the detailed Google Earth maps that are involved in the game and, I gotta say, I'm pretty excited about this.

At first I was thinking this was going to be some "I Am Legend" type of deal, but considering the unique approach they are taking I'm no longer getting that vibe. I just really hope that the music from the teaser site is used in the game along with other musical scores of its type.

Is this the first any of you have heard of this game? anyone else excited now?

Zombies are becoming overly used and cliche, but that gaming concept is pretty interesting.

I'd rather have a game much more akin to Dead Rising set across the entire earth than just some type of arcade game. Ho-hum.

While I partially agree with Sadistic about zombies becoming overused, I'm interested as what this game will be. Hopefully the game will be released with a trailer, so as I know what I might be buying.

And yeah, I'm digging that techno music from the site.

I just realized something. Those scans and the site are all in Japanese. It's possible this will be a Japan PSN-only release. For the time being, anyway.

Zombies are overused, but most of the time the end product they are in is completely horrible.

I think there are actually like 5 zombie games/movies in total that are actually good.

Where is everyone getting the "I am legend" idea? It's not like that movie has a copyright on post-apocalyptic settings.

@ViralHunter - Well, in the defense of "I Am Legend" the book (which was written in 1954 and is FAR better than the movie) pretty much popularized the whole worldwide apopcolypse due to disease genre.

Richard Matheson really did a lot to form the modern zombie (and mostly modern vampire) genre to what it is today. Romero might be the master of Zombie gore but Matheson really set the stages as far as post-apocolyptic world stories goes.
