About Me
First off is my highest honour -- my shit on the front page of Destructoid.
I was born back in the days of yore, when 3-D graphics were only a dream.
I like games.
Super Nintendo had to be one of the best consoles. Mario, Metroid, Link, Kirby, Donkey Kong and everyone else came to the party. Good times.
I own a Super Nintendo, N64, Gamecube, Wii, PS1, PS2, PSP, Xbox, Xbox 360, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, and a DS.
I regret missing some of the good old days, back in the early 90's, because I was too young to appreciate a good game when it smacked me in the face. Such is the folly of youth.
Somedays I wish I could have lived through such tumultuous times, what with the advent of Spandex tights and Rap, but then I think that it is much better to live longer and be younger than all of you people who did enjoy Super Metroid and Mario Kart in it's heyday and just be content with an emulator and a Xbox 360 controller.
Favorite Games: Mario series, Donkey Kong Country/64, Metroid series, Legend of Zelda series, Fable, Halo series, Shadow of the Colossus, GTA series, God of War 1 and 2, Morrowind, Oblivion, Tales of Symphonia, Final Fantasy X, Banjo Kazooie/Tooie and more that I can't recall.

Update: One year later
New games I would add to my favorites are Gears of Wars series, Fallout 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock (hey, I was playing it when I joined!), and other games I cannot recall. Some games I have loved for a long time but forgot to list over a year ago are Rome: Total War, the top Mario games, and the main Pokemon GB games. The rest escape me at this time.
So these days God no longer compels you to blog, Atlas is Fontaine, and generally speaking I am pretty well known around these parts. (I hope) I regret not joining Destructoid sooner, when I first had the chance with a link from Chad Concelmo's IGN blog. Even he was born in the primordial soup IGN was, or so it would seem. I no longer frequent there or other gaming sites except from time to time because Destructoid is hopefully my internet home from here on out. A great place to be, cheers to another year at Destructoid!
Update: Another year later
Okay, so year three isn't going that great. I haven't blogged for six months and have barely visited the site. In fact, it is nearly November and my 2 years happened almost 2 months ago in early September. Damn life, going outside into the real world is time consuming! I haven't even turned on a videogame since April... (until just recently!) But of course I haven't forgotten about Dtoid; THE GREATEST SITE ON THE WEB! Sorry Dtoid, I will try to live less and Dtoid more.
Update: Another few years later
So life hit me... I still visit this site when I can... to think I started visiting this site when I was 15, and made an account two weeks after I turned 16... I'm 20 now, Destructoid is practically part of my life story at this point, even if I disappear for years at a time. Still, I remember the good old days, the days when Dtoid was like the Wild West, when I was at my most active, and when we would open the gates of Hell in our mischief, always walking on the edge of the banhammer. Now I'm just an ancient, obscure memory to the last surviving cowboys, a group even to this day I feel I'm a part of. Still, I raise my glass to you. Good times Destructoid, good times!
Oh, and to a few of us oldsters, Atlas is Fontaine.

A fair amount of us... no scratch that, almost all of us have had an Xbox 360 fail on us at least once or twice. I myself am on my third 360 after two broken 360's in the span of two years. The failure rate on these machines is deplorable and Microsoft should be doing far more than what it is so far to remedy the situation. I'm not a one man army going to petition Microsoft or another poor soul telling about his newest RROD (Don't worry another one of those posts will come). What I am is someone who is curious about exactly what the lifespan of a regularly played 360 is. I know the failure rate is 100%, probably 99% dead in 5 years, but I think that us people who game a whole lot more than Joe Blow have a bigger number of RROD's under our belts. 
So would you kindly tell me how many 360's you've been through and how long ago it was when you bought your first 360? If you are feeling particularly venerable you can answer my simple poll here and I can figure out some some cool trivia like how many flatbed trucks Destructoid regulars could fill up with broken 360s or if our stack could reach twenty stories tall or if it is heavier than Luc Bernard's ego.

Im just glad I switched since the previous owner that owned it didn't register it and Im covered for a couple of years for RROD warranty.
It's bullshit that they won't repair it for free either.

Called Microsoft, bought a box to go send it off and on a whim i thought I'd see if I could power it up, and now it works again... not sure what to do now.
Oh, and it's my first xbox and it's a year and 8 months-ish old.
The whole PS2 debacle is still a surprise to me, I've had mine for nearly eight years and it still works like the day I got it. Wish I could say the same for all the controllers I've gone through though.

Werent all RROD's though my first one was where I booted it up and nothing but a black screen and green lines would go up and down...
And last were discread errors...

Just glad I own a PS3 as well though...
Also running a 60GB Launch PS3 and a Launch Wii, both are fine, but aren't used that often.
Oh, by the way, my brother's first 360 (purchased Nov. 2006) died on him in October.
The first one got crapped out during a lightning storm when a poser surge hit. The second one crapped out because I kept the HDD of the first one and it eventually became corrupted. The third one Died about a year ago with a single red light. I'm on the fourth and have had Zero problems.
Not one died for the ring of death, I still find that funny.
Sometimes I play nonstop 2-3 hours a day, sometimes I won't touch the 360 for months. But its been going strong, with no problems whatsoever. I'm just lucky I guess.

Of course I went through 5 PS2 machines...That system was a huge POS.

That's a pretty foolish reason. Have you never had a gaming system break? If so, I'd venture that you are in the minority.
You can lump me in with Samit then because I've never had a console break on me, I had a launch day ps2 for years until they came out with the slim and then I finally traded it in for that. I played it every day. I've owned every console since the nes and never has one broke on me and they all work to this day. Maybe I just take better care of my shit? My 360 is still going strong, I bought it last year used and its the one with the hdmi port, I registered it thankfully guy before me didn't bother so I still got 3 year warranty on it.
My roommate had a red ring. His second had an optical drive problem out of warranty. He modded it and bought a new one as well.
