No, the lead on the Mass Effect game and novels was Drew Karpyshyn who also did one of the Baldur's Gate books. According to the back cover of the Dragon Age novel the author, David Gaider, is the lead on the upcoming game and worked on Kotor, NWN, and BG2:SOA.
