I think its coming out September 23.
first official day of fall, plus at e3 when they showed it off it featured lego batman.
A weird choice to showcase the new update...
Lego batman also comes out the 23 and major nelson has a video showcasing the "Xii's" or
as they say "Avatars"

Major Nelson & Microsoft have said that the update is not coming out this week. Major Nelson restates this on his most recent podcast. As long as I am not forced to make an avatar I will be ok. I like the new look of the dashboard, but I don't need more Miis as I already have maxed out them on my Wii.

I wish he had clicked the Gamer Picture option. But I'm gonna assume that it lets you make your avatar the picture that appears on your Gamer Card. Wish is awesome. It's been 15 days and I'm already tired of my angry monkey.

I think it's clear to say, a pic of MY choice from the internet would be far better than half of the shitty choices for gamerpics on Microsoft.

but of course Microsoft wants you to give THEM money for halfed ass pics of THEIR choosing.

I heard November as well. And I'm pretty sure that wasn't based on random speculation because of seeing Lego Batman.

If you have a 360 camera, I believe you can make any picture your gamer pic, just as long as you take a picture of the picture you want with the camera.
