Gamestop and bought Force Unleashed and Rockband 2
12pm-7pm
Rocked out with the Force....
so here is my review of both games.... so far
FORCE UNLEASHED (no fancy graphics, in a hurry)
I know that Gametrailers gave it a 6.9 but GT reviews are shit.
They overlooked a big part of scoring... the fans.
99.9% of the people that will buy TFU are Star Wars fans so they will undoubtly love the
game. This game has very sexy cutscenes as long with REAL voice acting, its REAL because
they used people that can actually ACT so therefore will be excellent with vocal acting. A
big argument from people is that the camera and controls suck... this too can be overcome
by fanboys. The controls are not difficult, if you can hit the X button (xbox.. Square for
ps3..) you can play the game start to finish, as for the camera if it gets a bit hard to see-
click the right stick... not that hard. Overall the game is a nerdgasim in a box waiting for
the inner jedi in you to drool on it...
MUST BUY?
-yes... if you are a starwars fan and have seen the movies multiple times..
ROCKBAND 2
This will be a short review..
Same game, new songs....
Ok ill say a bit more, the game has a few little upgrades, new menus and visuals.
Its the small things that make the difference. 8/10 for the set list, if you hate the 80's you
might be pissed.
MUST BUY?
-Hell yeah, but if you dont have the drums and guitar wait for the bundle, or even if you
have the first bundle you might wanna wait. I know the old one has wired, the new one has
wireless for a cheaper price as an all-in-one.

its out for the wii as well, Lucas Arts wanted it to be played of ever system, even NES... kinda, i believe the wii versions out, check gamestop.com
Force Unleashed is out for PS3, 360, PS2, Wii, and the DS. No PC. But that sounds like an awesome day. I had a day similar to that when I got GTA IV. Got it at midnight, stayed up all night playing it until 8 a.m., then slept through all my classes that day. It was awesome. I don't any game coming out soon that I want to do that with. Maybe FIFA '09, or Fallout 3. But I needs the moneys.
Got Force Unleashed today too. I have to say, I wasn't expecting much after the lukewarm reviews, but I am pleasantly surprised so far. Like Arktos said, a lot of the "flaws" in Force Unleashed are kinda minimal or can be overlooked if you ask me.
The camera can be a little rough sometimes, but like Arktos said, click the right analog stick (on the 360 version at least) and the camera will auto zoom to back behind Starkiller. Also the reviews made it sound like this game is a buggy mess, but I haven't really had too many issues so far. Weirdest things that have happened is after I killed one of those Greedo things (Rodian I think?) he just froze there standing up. He was dead but didn't disappear and couldn't be moved. Strange, but no big deal.
I must add too, that the game is very pretty. The environments are really stunning and so are the cutscenes, and this is just on my SD TV. The biggest issue I guess I have with the game so far is the boss fights. The first few are ok, but the last one I did (on Raxus Prime) was just kinda lame. But even still, once again they're something that you can overlook, because the fights are still more fun than the reviews make them sound, or at least I think so.
Overall, I'd agree with Arktos and say you should only BUY Force Unleashed if you're a pretty big Star Wars fan. Otherwise, I'd at least rent it because honestly it's at least worth that.
btdubs there is no bundle for rock band 2. since they released the first game with the bundle and the instruments work fine for both games, they released the drums and guitar separately from the game. its not a bad idea since i'll prolly only buy the game.
