Good day sir/madam and welcome to the world of someone who calls himself Anus Mcphanus. In the real world I go by the name of Dan.
The name Anus Mcphanus comes from back in school in 6th form. We had a TV in our common room and I used to bring in my N64 to play games during our lunch breaks. Being in a public (or private to you yanks) school meant that we couldn't shout out obscene profanities so openly and so we made up words/names we could say and not get in any trouble. Eventually these words became associated with a certain person and I became known as Anus Mcphanus which meant arsehole. I thought the name was quite hilarious and so I kept the name and use it as my online and gamer name from then onwards.
In my free time I enjoy being Welsh, taking long walks down the beach and punching small children in the face.
My life is rather dull and uninspiring.
I apparently like to drop my trousers. A lot.
I can't sing but often kid myself into thinking I can.
I do not like things up my butt. Except penis.

Are you tired of hearing people rave about Smash Brothers Brawl? Hearing that this game is the best thing since they touched themselves even with the apparently crappy online functionality?
Is your blood turning green with envy like mine since you have no idea when we will see it on European shores? Well even if the answer is no it is time to rejoice! For we get No More Heroes and Odin Sphere this week! Two games that.....have been out in America.. for ages........... Bollocks. But wait! there's one more reason to rejoice pull your pants down and wave that smooth freshly waxed derrière in the direction in the direction of the Atlantic ocean. The Play.com Live expo on Saturday/Sunday 15th/16th March at Wembley Stadium. (That's this weekend folks!) 
Yes your eyes do not deceive you! The most rarest of rare events especially in the UK, a gaming expo is happening in London this weekend thanks to unsurprisingly to online retailer play.com. Before all we could do was enviously watch coverage of PAX, E3, E4all, TGS, GDC and Leipzig on our PC monitors but no more! Now we get one for ourselves and if you missed the news the first time all the details can be found right here. Highlights of the games on display include: Lego Indiana Jones Star Wars Force Unleashed Resident Evil 5 Street Fighter 4 Army of Two Rockband Ninja Gaiden 2 GhostBusters Prototype Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates Crisis Core: FINAL FANTASY VII Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and The Tower of Mirrors DeBlob Haze Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Soul caliber IV Batman Lego and maybe Little Big Planet There are more games but those are the most interesting ones. I don't know if all these games will be playable but there's no reason for the majority of them not to be but games like RE5, Star Wars FU, Ghostbusters and Prototype may not be but who knows.... as long as Street fighter 4, Ninja Gaiden 2 and Rockband are playable I will be changing my underwear a lot over the weekend. If you want a piece of the action there is still time to save yourself! Although the Robot God himself will not be accompanying us the Dtoid army will be present at this historic event on the Sunday afternoon. Tickets are still on sale and cost £6 so grab one quick because you can't buy one at the door and they'll take a little bit of time to arrive in the post. Members of the army who will be attending include: myself, Demios, Poetic Justice, Silverhertz and possibly McSnow and xomb13. Wardrox will be around fapping his press pass with his Ripten crew but if he can tear himself away from the workload and the celebrity parties he may join us for a while as well. If you're convinced to join us then we will be meeting at Wembley Park Tube station at 1:30pm on Sunday 16th March where I will be displaying a dtoid/penis related sign. Any changes and more details to the plan can and will be found on this murof thread and if you're not convinced, Gemma Atkinson (shwing!) and some DJ guy are hosting the event and there will be live bands including We are Scientists! So forget about Brawl, leave a comment below so we know not to leave you behind and join us on Sunday! Do it! You know it makes sense!!

I shall PM people who are definitely coming my mobile number so everyone at least has one contact they can reach on the day but it'd be a good idea for everyone to PM their numbers to each other as well just in case I get struck by lightning or Gemma Atkinson hits on me and makes me unavailable for a time....
As for the Codemasters Connect event I myself have not heard anything about it apart from you mentioning it, sorry dude.

Getting from Heathrow to the hotel in Wembley on Saturday night could be a balls though, any recommendations transport-wise? A friend told me a taxi could be £50 quid.

I know I thought the tickets thing was fucked when they said the earliest they would be posting them was the Monday before the event...
As for getting from Heathrow to Wembley your best bet would be to take the tube but your stop depends on where exactly you're headed as Wembley has 2 stops on different lines.
If you're headed to Wembley Central take the Piccadilly (dark blue) line East to Piccadilly Circus and change here onto the Bakerloo (brown) line and head North towards Harrow & Wealdstone and you will go past Wembley Central on the way.
If you're headed to Wembley Park (closest stop to Wembley stadium) then take the Piccadilly line East to Green Park and then take the Jubilee (grey) line North towards Stanmore and it passes by Wembley Park.
I'm not sure on price but it won't be much because you're not getting off in central London but it will take about an age and a half to get there though
Give me Wales anytime. Went to Uni there and it was a absolute blast! Trains + Valleys = Win.
On a more serious note, I'm rocking the tartan socks off Edinburgh that weekend so it's a no-can-do.

Talk about coincidence! Yeah man a pre-drink around Camden sounds like a plan! It's not like I got far to go :P although the great Camden fire has shut a large part of the market down there's still some good places left esp around the Camden Lock if in doubt go to wetherspoons!

Dude I had no idea about the Earthquake until someone told me about it the next day and I was awake when it happened.... the Camden fire was a while ago but yeah it fucked up a lot of the North side but it's looking better now but still the words "reasonably priced" and "London" don't really mix but like I said if in doubt there's always spoons!
Anywho...sounds like a pre-plan plan guys - apparently I should be arriving around 11:30, drinks and pub lunch somewhere in camden? Err I have no idea where to meet as Im not a londoner....outside Camden tube station?
um guys I was just thinking about times... Silver is that 11:30 you'll be arriving in London or in Camden? and outside Camden Tube station seems like a good choice although it'll probs be hella busy with the sunday market

Yeah it'll probably take 15mins to get to Camden from Victoria but it'll take like 45mins to get from Camden to Wembley Park so worst case scenario is we get 45-60mins in the pub.... sounds ok I guess.
