Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I don't know. I have to catch on them. I have been slacking :(
Wether or not 50 or lloyd banks will be the gamekiller?
Cameo by The Game in the game?
Slim shady as a boss?
Vitamin water power ups?
i stop now...
What would be better than friend codes.
Why nintendo won't leave friend codes behind.
People in nintendo who think friend codes suck.
Seriously, I barely listen due to time constraints, but if you spent an hour talking about the beauty of Resident Evil 4 and it's most excellent game design choices, I'd probably listen every week. I love that game.
Of course, you probably already did this. I wouldn't know, I got into the whole podcast thing a bit late.
(why DID big S really kill Aeris? jealous much?)
Been on my mind since Boolean vented on the subject (which I think I made a good comment on). Two games off the top of my head that were "spoiled" for me were FF7 and Bioshock. FF7 I can understand because I didn't play the game until 2006, but even with something as recent as Bioshock has pretty much been laid out for me.
In short, someone's desire to not have something spoiled for them versus everyone else's desire to talk about it.
Which gamehas been the biggest letdown for you (in your life).
What things "shouldn't be" in video games? What things are just fed up with developers keep doing? List your top 10 things that developers do that piss you right off. For example, bad camera and character controls (Resident "urine injection to the face" Evil to name one), stupid save systems (see Resident "unexpected spermal lactation" Evil for reference) or irritating exposition segments (like in, say, Resident "I'm going to rape everyone you know and then enjoy watching your stock, poorly scripted reaction" Evil).
And finally, why don't you just do one big Games That Time Forgot podcast, and what made them great?
I believe that the formula to a fun podcast is hearing your witty anecdotes about games, the strengths and weaknesses of games in different contexts and how it can relate to current and future events, then tell each other that you're all wrong, and then resort to naughty language and threats of torture by 80s culture. Stick to the most obvious topics, because you're interesting enough to make them work regardless.
But something tells me this may have been done before.
Great Game, or Greatest Game Ever
Either that or Van Halen.
Although I would like to hear an episode on game music and its importance to the experience (beyond the usual Rez and Guitar Hero categories).
Can't speak for the PSN, as I haven't played it. And the WiiWare doesn't look like much is coming out that is too promising, and how will hard drive space come into play.
Just a thought anyways, maybe it will help you out some.
Alternatively you could attempt to decipher the hidden meaning behind Chocolate Rain.

How about talking about women in video games? In the way that they've evolved from damsels in distress to large-chested women who now dominate the scene and make gamers look like horny douchebags.
More specifically how great Dark Chronicle is.
(Dark Cloud 2 to the US)
Yeah, you failure
How about the moments when certain genres became stale. Like when people stopped caring about platformers, adventure games and when FPS' started to become unintentional self parodies.
A game politics show (keeping JT talk to a minimum, because he's easy)
A show where you try hard to take mobile games seriously (though they may or may not deserve it)
A series of console themed episodes.
An episode with Ron and/or Neiro guest hosting.
