Best header image ever.
You consider Lucas a bad gamer example? What the hell is wrong with you?
The obvious comment is that Ash and Ant were as funny as ever, their dad is amazing and Davis is adorable. A more important comment is that the bucket stole the scene.
Oh, great, it's always nice to use your massive mob of readers to ruin other talented, but less well-endowed in the "fan" department, scene reenact-- OH MY GOODNESS, PAPA BURCH, STOP DOING THINGS TO WIN ME OVER LIKE THAT.
I think ashley d, does a great C3p0 voice.
Happiest R2 in existence, right there.
AHAHAHAHA That's one of the greatest things ever.
Dugg!
HTML fail.
FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU. The link isn't working for me, nor is the ENTIRE amc blog site.
Finally got it to load up. I saw all but Gamer, and the first one I cant remember what it was(and it would take forever to reload the webpage). Coo' article bro...
I think one of the worst movies to depict gamers was King of Kong: Fistful of Quarters.
We're not all THAT obsessed.
I would like to purchase that R2 unit from you.
That was incredible. Do the rest of the movie!
Fun!
I'm not sure that the desire to see any of these movies as describing "gamers" as a whole is such a good idea. I can't speak to any of the writers' actual intentions, but I can say that I'm not offended by any of these portrayals (with the possible exception of Stay Alive, as I haven't seen that one). I see the movie Gamer as being less about "gamers" in general, and more about a particular segment of gamers. Granted it's taken to an absurd extreme, but that's the point. I could totally see some of the more thick-headed FPS fans out there getting into that sort of thing. As for The Wizard, the message there seems to be more that EVERYBODY loves videogames. Sure, you've got a few extremes in Jimmy (they don't ever explicitly say he's autistic, do they?) and Lucas, but there are shit-loads of people rocking the NES in that movie. Even Beau Bridges gets in on the action. Then again, maybe I'm just too quick to say "oh, they're not talking about ME".
