I honestly think Goldeneye on XBLA would be incredible, especially when it promised updated graphics, new multiplayer maps and more. Can we make it happen still? Well, it's possible. What's the worst thing that could happen? Well, it stays dead. So let's try to bring it back shall we? I want L4D now, please. God Valve I hate you. But I love you so much.

The game was going to be exactly the same as its N64 counterpart but with the addition of live multiplayer.
From the 1Up story: "The XBLA version would have featured the same graphics, maps and weapons from the N64 version, but with the crucial addition of online multiplayer over Xbox Live. Several characters wouldn't make the cut due to licensing issues with certain actors."

dont get me wrong i'd love to see it on there but since microsft isnt making assloads cash if they were about the people they'd let it go for a mere 10% of the monies for each copy sold

I read the same information on a number of other sites considering I was never a fan of Joystiq. But in all actuality the information is really not that important all that matters is if it happens or not. While the possibilities could very well be bleak, apparently there's a large percentage saying it could still happen.
