I was hoping the big news was going to be that it was going to be released next week.
Yeah, I'm kind of let down due to the fact that they said what they said and gave people hope in thinking it would be released today. Oh well, that will just make Monday get here sooner. I wonder if anyone actually took work off for it. :O
This whole 'beta' thing sounds like an interesting marketing ploy. My only question is that since it's unfinished software, will people actually play it?

Well then you're horribly incorrect sir. Considering people have waited a decade to play this, they definitely will. Even if it wasn't a decade they still would. Look at the COD 4 beta, Halo 3 beta and Quake Wars beta.
I'll give you a preloaded beta. Balth, this is the trend now and we are such suckers, so it works. But at the end, they end up happier (and richer) than we do.
I would do this... but chances are I'll be playing Orange Box on my 360.
My computer needs an upgrade. Which I will do eventually! (When I get money!)
