I'm excited about this. I'm too excited about this. I don't think there's anyone else out there that could be as excited as I am about this. Well, other than good ol' Tristero.
After seeing this image, I've grown even more curious as to where they're taking the series. Is it a remake? Is it a sequel? Noone really knows yet. Honestly, this pic almost looks like it's going for the whole transformation thing that appeared in Splatterhouse 3. But then again, who knows? This could just be the art style they're approaching.
Either way, this has to be the most anticipated game of mine. Period. I've been looking forward to this for too long now. It came out of nowhere too! Best feeling ever.
I'd also like to add that I don't think I've ever looked forward to a magazine this much in my life. I mean, it's seriously crazy.
I really hope the issues start popping up very soon, I'm way too anxious to see the article. Especially the pictures.
***Update: I just saw this and I thought I would share this with you all if you haven't seen it yet. I thought it was pretty damn cool.
Yeah, I figured it would of been 3D. Considering 2D is practically non-existent nowadays. :(
It's really hard to tell where they'll take it. I just hope it will be worth the wait. I know it will be. Either way, no matter what the outcome may be, I'll adore it for sure.
I'm interested to see what kind of creepy goo effects they can render with current consoles, hopefully they'll remember the game is called Splatterhouse.
@Jim: Seriously, looks like he's sporting some old Adidas. The image isn't what I expected, but I most definitely still have hope. I just hope the whole game doesn't go for that whole super exaggerated style.
@Conrad: I can understand what you're saying but I'm sure they won't do that. I mean I'd hope not. Considering in todays day and age the closest thing we've gotten to beat-em-ups were Devil May Cry or God of War. I could totally see them going for that style, well, minus QTE's of course. That needs to die. This already has been the best year for gaming for me in a LONG time, seriously.
When I was a kid I thought this was one the scariest games to play, the music and the sound effects were rediculously pants pooping! this is great news indeed! Anybody remember fighting the teddy bear demon in part 2

That YouTube trailer was pretty damn cool.
