Hey guys. I've been lurking the site for a while, and I notice there's a lot of Assassin's Creed hatred. I've never touched the game, and planned to get the PC version, but I'm reconsidering.

The first time I saw this game, I was amazed. For whatever reason, I was expecting it to be the new Metal Gear stealth action epic. Now, it looks more like a Tomb Raider game with blood, gore, and the middle east. It also looks like a pretty repetitive game.

So I ask you, the people. What's so bad about Assassin's Creed? Try and save your new friend Alucard a buck, will ya?

Please don't do it man. Think about this, I traded it in after I played through it once to get Orange Box and SMG. It's not worth it.

playing through one mission is kind of fun, but it's insanely repetitive afterwards. if you've got a console, rent it. or torrent it.

What game at its core isn repetitive. I thought Assassins Creed was awesome when I seen the trailers/demos, and I thought it was even better when I rented it. It truly is an awesome game, with very sweet gameplay. My only gripe is the length of the game. I rented it and beat it in a week, playing a couple hours a day. Go ahead and get it man, I recomend it, only as rental.

In all honesty, it's really not that bad. It just sort of expects you to amuse yourself, which can certainly alleviate the monotony, but only if you get a kick out of playing a jumpy medieval freerunner. Think of Crackdown with less handholding or flammable materials.

If you didn't get that comparison, that means you haven't played Crackdown, in which case forget Assassin's Creed and just get that instead.

rent it. no replay value. Unless you want to hunt down every flag in the game....which is NOT worth it.

Its all about taste. But with 60 dollars on the line, defintley rent first.

About two-thirds of the way, the missions can feel all the same but I found the story compelling enough to power through. I probably should have just rented the game, but at least I'm able to loan it to friends so they can check it out.

the game is alright, the missions are boring but the story is kinda cool and the free running is really fun but its just a good rental

well I kinda like it to be honest, can't get enough of those viewpoints, don't really like the pickpocketing crap, but escaping a horde of guards never gets old!

also when you get into the fightingsystem, its just magnificent!
