So Ubisoft have announced a bucnh of release dates for their forthcoming games. Tom Clancy's HAWX is pencilled in for early March along with the PC-version of End War. Tenchu 4 will also be out in March, but the sequel to Call Of Juarez won't be out until the 2nd quarter of the year.

But nestled in this list is I Am Alive, which is pencilled in for a 1st quarter release. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but that means it'll be out by the end of April, right? That's pretty close, since we're almost at the end of April. Now, please correct me if I'm wrong again, but we've still not seen any gameplay footage have we? I mean I don't remember seeing any behind-closed-doors stuff being reported either. This is interesting as it's noted that Ubisoft's last big game Assasin's Creed, didn't live up to the rather large and bloated expectation that was placed on it. Does this mean Ubisoft are going for a softly, softly approach?

Seems strange thought. I think a lot of us might think "they've learnt their lesson from Assasin's Creed and decided not to hype this one," but I think that approach might not work. We need some level of expectation about upcoming games, otherwise they'd just be put on our shelves come release date and no one would give a shit. There's been quite a few good games slip under the radar and pretty much disappear (I'm trying to hunt down some DS games in Australia and having absolutely no luck). Having too much hype is a bad thing, but none at all just won't work.
