Hey guys,

for years you have known me as Ali D but now I am revealed as Alasdair Duncan, who also happens to be a bearded Scottish guy. Who've thunk it, right? I'm currently working with the PC team to cover all things personal computer related and also writing the odd review. I'm also one of the moderators on the forums trying to keep the place all nice and tidy for you all.

Ok, for starters I can hardly believe I'm suggesting this but.... do any of you guys and gals fancy doing an Aussie gamer podcast under the Destructoid banner? I listen to Podtoid regularly and Podcastle too and I hope they both continue, but I think it'd be fun to have another Podcast with some Aussie dtoid community members. I mean I doubt we'd end up discussing anything with the great significance of say.... Boner Quest (trademark: Aaron Linde) but I think we could have some fun, talk some shit, complain about high video game prices and the lack of an R18 rating.

Now I don't know how we'd go about doing it, I have a headset/mic, a PC and that's about it. I'm also handicapped by having a Scottish accent which basically means that I will either sound drunk, violent or violently drunk all the time. But if anyone'sinterested, drop a comment. What about our Destructoid overlords? Is there room for a fourth podcast?

You got the basics mate, all I use to record my podcast is;

Hardware; Microphone headset.

Software; Skype (to talk w/ your co-hosts), Power-Gramo (which records your conversations and exports them to mp3) and Audacitiy (which is a free editior suite allowing you to cut the shit from your show).

I don't think that it'll be listed as an "official" Dtoid podcast for a number of reasons, but if you want to go failcast style to maybe fill in the eeks that they on't o a release that would be cool.

I'd also be interested in helping as I will be moving to Australia in mid-late January, and I coul give some commentary as a person coming from the North American scene.

In all honesty I've never listened to Podtoid, is it just ranting about all things gaming? I often go through old RetroforceGO episodes though.

I'm not 100% sure exactly where I'll be, as I'm looking for a place, but I'm going to USyd for medical school, so probably close to campus somewhere.

Hey that sounds cool, I live in Sydney and work as an artist in the industry if you need anyone (not sure if work would approve but id keep it on the downlow). I like to rave about censorship to anyone dumb enough to get me going, but anyway it'd be good to get some Aussie representation. Cheers

I've been thinking about doing an aussie podcast, but it might come across as being a bit british as it would be 90% bitching about how Aussie gamers are constantly getting fucked by jacked up prices and late release dates.
