Pomegranates - Everything Is Alive

Pomegranates are a 4 piece band from Cincinnati, Ohio currently signed to Lujo Records. Joey Cook's unique voice coupled with a catchy, up beat tune makes for a perfect combination. Most of the album was recorded live, showcasing the band's spontaneity. After the band's well received EP title "Two Eyes" fans wondered if they could come back strong with a full length album. Obviously, they've surpassed expectations

Verdict- Buy it!

2012: The year our precious interwebs dies?

Ok, now this is pretty stupid. According to these folks, the internet is going to die in 2012 because of the whole "net neutrality" thing. I love how they have the dramatic music playing in the background and the round table type discussion. I hate these kinds of things. I mean, look at the page for the video, it's just a ploy to try and get more subscribers. The funny things is, that people in the comments are actually believing these people. Maybe I'm wrong, I just wanted to see what you guys thought about this.

I read a while back on how AT&T predicts the internet will die off in the near future because of "too much information" or something to that effect. It's really stupid in that it reminds me of around 50 years ago when people predicted we would have flying cars and live on the moon.

Yeah, exactly. I mean, once 2012 comes people will have forgotten about this whole thing. People "predict" these types things all the time, and their predictions usually turn out to be false. I don't this is any different.

I've thought alot about this. I don't think they're too far off. I've thought about this idea in particular of paying to visit each website like TV channels but there would probably be some sort of preview or trial for each site, seriously. What I think is more likely is that there will be an Internet 2.0. All websites would have to be registered by real identities and everyone that goes online would need to have some ID. This may solve piracy.

But ya it's pretty obvious these guys wanna be famous. Also cleavage.

What about The Digital Imprimatur which is about the end of freedom of speech on the internet. That's pretty bad.

There may not be a specific date but companies are hell bent on controlling the flow of information and have already taken steps to succeeding.

Well the internet wont die exactly but if we lose net neutrality we are going to see a much more corporate internet. Smaller independent sites may find it harder to grow as they can't afford the fees to host video and sound files. Would a text only destructoid be as entertaing?

Personally I think anything that has Rupert Murdoch rubbing his hands together in glee is a very very bad thing.
