About
Hi!

I'm Alex, and I'm on the PC and Hardware teams here at Destructoid. While I've been playing games since I was a kid, I admit that I haven't really gotten into the gaming community until very recently (2011).

Anyway, I mostly play Battlefield 3, Guild Wars, FFXI, and Starcraft II at the moment. If you ever need any PC help (including troubleshooting or advice on PC buying) feel free to hit me up at alex@destructoid.com

Hey everyone! I don't know if you've noticed or not, but I haven't been as active on Destructoid as I'd like to be. Either way, I was wondering if there's any hardware you'd like to see reviewed or any topic on PC hardware you'd like me to write about.

Let me know!

routers. PC gamers and console gamers as well all need decent routers and there is a lot of stuff out there that's confusing for the layman. I have a TP Link router and love it, but I'm confused regarding whether or not to use static IP's (it seems to work without it) and regarding the set up to allocate more bandwidth to my husband's PS3 (on wifi) rather than mine which is wired directly to the router. With variable bandwidth on cable I might end up inadvertently throttling both of us.
Anyway... router tech is likely of interest to anyone who games... PC or other.
D-Link DIR-655. Reportedly the best router for multiplayer gaming. Supports up to 4 Xboxen (probably PS3s) concurrently playing multiplayer games on LIVE.

Funny that you ask this, since it's actually part of my job now.
