I'm sitting in my freezing basement. Shirtless. 'S how I spend my days off work and national holidays..
The most recent, and ambitious of the Fallout 3 DLC, titled
Point Lookout, is quite easily the best. It reminded me of gallant romps through Cyrodil, while preserving the horrid "reality" of a world torn by nuclear war. The setting and mood, so different from previous expansions, alone make this a game of its own. The linear gameplay of previous DLC nearly killed any desire I had left in me to care about future content, for fear that anything new would follow the same sad path.
Point Lookout changed all that. It's a change of scenery, a new land to roam, a rewarding experience, and worth ten bucks. It's fun, it's glorious, and it lives up to a promise previous Fallout 3 DLC couldn't. If you love Fallout 3, and your country, get this DLC.
My only gripe: The frame rate was whack.
Short post is short. Happy Fourth of July.
