So, in an attempt to make me suck less at SF4, which I've been voraciously playing, I'm planning on buying a Fightsick or Fightpad. However, the DToid impressions on the Fightpad seemed to be better than the standard Fightstick, so...

Which one? The Fightpad and standard Fightstick come out next week, and the TE one comes out sometime in March. But fuck that; 140 bucks for a controller is dickrickulous.

Hori EX2.
I'll look into that one.
If the TE stick is out of your range. Get the Hori Ex2 that Cataract suggested. Stick always over controller.
Fightpad.

If you never fucked with a arcade stick that is.

see what I did there?

You could at least added a picture to this post buddy.
if you got money for a joystick, get a joystick.

believe me. want to get good, get a stick.
Got a question of my own actually.

I've got a Hori Fighting Stick 3 but I just can't get transition into it, you guys have any suggestions on making the switch?
Hey Gantz, be sure to talk to me over PSN sometime if you want more help, but as for the FS3:
Remember that you're working with a square gate, first of all. Doing QCs and HCs will take a bit of time to get used to, keep practicing! I highly recommend learning stick on a more modern 2D fighter, thats a bit more generous with inputs, such as Guilty Gear XX or SFIV.
Also, be sure to use the training mode! If you jump into combat without practicing move inputs on your stick, you're going to end up very frustrated and want to put the joystick down, pick up the pad, and kick some ass. Trust me, going over shoryuken repititions in training helps imensely.
I hope these tips help. I hope to see you online for some SFIV action (I suck, by the way.)
Just always be careful of Mad Catz peripherals. They tend to be SHIT.
