Bioshock Trophies

It has been confirmed by Andrew Rudson of 2K Games that Bioshock will be one of the first PS3 games to feature trophies. In an article written by Rudson it stated

"While working on BioShock PS3, I had the opportunity to be one of the first developers to make use of the new PSN Trophy system."

So Bioshock will have these things called trophies were you unlock them when you do a certain action. Hmmmmm sounds similar to something I have heard before. I don't know about you but it doesn't surprise me at all considering it was on the Xbox 360, that system that has achievements those things that Sony completely copied with this whole trophy thing. Hopefully Sony can fix the problems people have been having with the new update in time for Bioshock so everyone can get these trophies. Hmmmm I wonder if these trophies are going to be anything like the achievements in Bioshock? So what do you think of Bioshock having trophies. Do you think future PS3 games will feature them? I have doubts because Sony isn't forcing developers in making trophies for their games.

Sweet, but it's hard to believe or think of any game coming out in a few months+ NOT to have trophies and yes they are like achievements.

And I believe they have fixed the firmware problem with firmware 2.41 this week. I haven't heard anyone else with problems yet.

yes future games on ps3 will have trophies in them.
yes trophies are a rip off of achievements.

do i care? no.

achievements are fun on xbox360 and they'll be fun on ps3. i really don't get what all the fuss is about.

I have no issue with Sony ripping off achievements for PS3. It's not like recognizing the fact that Microsoft came up with them and not putting them in is going to make a game better.

Yeah, I say kudos to Sony for the trophies. Microsoft is obviously doing something right with Achievements, why not include something similar in PS3 games?

Just for the record I am fine with them ripping off Microsoft if it wasn't for competition we wouldn't have the systems we have today

I care as much for the Trophies as for the Achievements.
It adds nothing for me. It doesn't make the game better or worse. Replay value should be in the game itself. Get a particular weapon, armor, item, different ending and whatnot. No Trophy is going to make me play my games differently.
