Did Online Multiplayer Kill Social Gaming?

So your reading the title and saying "Well isn't Social Gaming still online gaming?"


Yes you are correct but what I meant to say was back in the day before online gaming became how big it is today, I remember going round to my cousins house and having about 7 of us all sat there playing FIFA 05 or the latest wrestling game out at the time and all taking turns on the controller or even making tournaments to see who would win

I used to love sitting there on the weekend with all my family just chilling and playing games while we could all sit there and chat or even give a bit of banter when one of us were losing, Dont get me wrong we still do it till this day but because its easier just to do it online and stay at our own houses the social aspects of meeting up together and actually being in the same room has gone!

I love online gaming and Ive met great friends through it but also at the same time im saddened because we dont have what we once had before
