New Wario Land and Kirby Game coming...

It was announced by Nintendo, in a list of upcoming games, that new platform based Wario and Kirby games are on the way.

Wario Land: Shake it! is the name of the new Wii title. Using the "wii-mote" you can create earthquakes and apparently crush enemies as you adventure through the levels and collect coins. Kirby Super Star Ultra is the updated version of a classic Kirby game and brings with it new cutscenes, as well as new minigames. While the Kirby title is not necessarily a NEW game, it will be something for fans to look forward to.

Accompanying those titles on the list was Mario Super Sluggers, which will be released August 25th, and Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir which will be bringing the detective game to the DS. This time around you're tasked with finding the heir to a large fortune.

Opinion: While I love Nintendo, I'm not seeing much of what I like. It's nice to hear that they're opening some doors for some older franchises, but "core" gamers need some love too. Here's to hoping that we're not forgotten this E3!

Yeah, I actually did enjoy his previous platforming titles. They were a bit odd though... O_o

I can't wait to play Kirby Super Star Ultra. I've heard nothing but praise for the original.

Oh, and Wario Land 3 > most Mario games.

Oh, and old news is somewhat old.

@Jonathan, You MUST play kirby super star or the remake coming out, best kirby game ever made IMHO.

Jonathan Kerr has the word from on high. Wario Land 3 is one of the great lost games from the time between "retro" and "modern" gaming.

And new Wario Land? Always a good idea.
