I don't understand the continued popularity of the Pokeymans. I know that they were really fucking big when they were first released, and I can understand that because they were *gasp* original, but the continued popularity of the series utterly baffles me. I understand how very young children (hereafter referred to as "anklebiters") like it, but how can other people, including a seeming majority of you, like it? From what I can deduce with a quick query to my friend, followed up by a wikipedia search, the games are RPGs without the cornerstone of good RPGs, PROPER STORY. "I want to be the best" seems to be the only story in the games. Not "I want to be the best and have sex with a hot French chick" (see: No More Heroes), or "I want to kill the tyrannical overlord" (see: a plurality of RPGs), but just "I want to be the best". To see what I was missing, I didn't search for not ROMs, and a compatible not emulator, to not play them. I couldn't find one, so I'm going to borrow one of my friend's GBAs and one of his Pokeymans games. Or, to make things easier, you could just give me links to not ROMs, and compatible not emulators. I'll report again after a week of play.
