I recently borrowed a friends copy of Pikmin, and it's fucking awesome. The game is so fantastic, I can't believe a 3rd wasn't made. The graphics are nice, for a Gamecube launch title, and it feels awesome to overwhelm the enemies with massive groups of plant creatures.

I have a few complaints. 1st, the time limit. I like to faff around when I play my games. I don't want to be limited in my time with a game. I know the sequel removed the limit, but I haven't played it (yet).

2nd, control of the pikmin is shit. I can't command them very well, so it gets quite frustrating.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo released another Pikmin title at this years E3. I still haven't played any of the Pikmin games myself, but I'm really looking forward to splurging some cash on the first Gamecube title as soon as I get some money.

Pikmin really is 'the shit', yet I have no idea why NINTY have yet to releae ANY info on a sequel to two, I like, Zulu, hope info does get released.

Also, ya might need to change your title, because, you see.....

I've always loved the Pikmin series, but I wouldn't really call it an RTS. Like the pikmin you order around in the game, it's a weird conglomeration that you can't really classify in one kingdom.

If I had to label it, I'd call it sort of an adventure/platforming/puzzle/dungeon crawler...thing.
*shrugs*

And Blehman is right, next time make your blog entries longer or CTZ will hunt you down.

I always preferred the 3rd person RTS like Pikmin or SpellForce, over the birds-eye RTS like SC and C&C.

Something more urgent about building bases and leading troops into battle when your avatar has his neck on the line.

Plus my GF loves Pikmin, too! And she cries when she accidentally drowns a few... it's adorable :)
