Unless you are going for a Les Miserables 3-hour plus extravaganza, perhaps focusing on a specific character or a specific story arc might be a good direction.
Regardless, best of luck. Would definitely be interested to see the final result.
Advice? Setzer. Lots and lots of Setzer. Also, a song about Edward's philandering is necessary.
As long as Ultros gets a ragtime tap-dancing number, all will be well.
Make it all about Ultros.
Ultros is the greatest Final Fantasy character of all time and if he's not in 9/10 scenes. It hasn't reached his potential.
Don't tease the Octopous, kids! Uweeheeeheee!
I was going to reply in an intelligent and constructive manner...
Then people started talking about ULTROS! YEOWCH!! SEAFOOD SOUP!!
MUSCLEHEADS! HATE'EM!
MARIAAAA
Make 'em laugh!
Replace all the characters with Ultros!
OMFG I think i love you
These are the musicals I think would be the most suitable to use:
1.) Les Miserables
2.) Sweeney Todd
3.) Phantom of the Opera
4.) Miss Saigon
5.) West Side Story
I love musicals alot, expeccially Joeseph, but however im not very sure about Final Fantasy VI, if you do make it, ill do stage crew for you.
I'm just gonna write it. Nothing more.
I think it would be cool if Kefka's songs drew from a bunch of different musicals and styles, just to show how crazy/"outside-the-lines" he is.
I'm gonna do that.
And how are you going to Portray the awesome-ness of Ultros.
Malmsteen/Van Halen guitar duet solos?
I don't have any advice besides do whatever you can do that humanly possible and maybe some things that aren't to get Brian Clevinger to help in any way shape or form. 8-Bit Theater is the best moments of all time alll crammed together all at the same time! It's Awenderfantasmic! (I don't even know what words those are anymore)
1776 would be another good reference point- its crescendo is appropriately epic, and it's sung by the guy who played Mr. Feeny in Boy Meets World.
Also, put in lots of Setzer. Guy probably sees his life as one big musical anyway.
