God bless Nintnedo! They always like to throw us a bone when we buy a console or now accessory. The Wii Zapper which will be out in time for my wife's birthday...ha! (Hey its better than the gift I gave her last year on her day of birth...a vasectomy) The zapper is coming with a Link game called Link's Crossbow. It contains, yes, three mini games that can be played multiplayer style. However, not at the same time. The shooter will have 27 stages in total over three different modes of Target Shooting, Defender, and Ranger. You know, your basic formula for quick shooting action.
For $25, shit yea this will be added to my pile of gimmicky accessories. I'm sure I'll have more fun with this than my PS2 EyeToy.
starting on Saturday, September 22nd, and get your hands on some of the hottest EA games like Command & Conquer 3, Battlefield 2142, Need for Speed Carbon, and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, now developed exclusively for the Mac. (Note: The Third Street Promenade Store in Santa Monica, CA will be holding this event on Friday, September 21st.)
The big ones that strike my attention is Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars and Battlefield 2142. However, of course my measly G3 isn't going to run them nor is the G5 I was looking at. The games all require the Mac with the Intel chip. I would love to play some C&C3 on my Mac. All the other games, who cares. Those games get old on a console real quick, so who's to say it won't be the same on a computer.
So I got $40 and change hidden in my wallet from the wife. What to spend it on. I have plenty of cigars and beer to last to the next paycheck. I was thinking of getting something for my new Wii. I was going to throwdown the money on Wii Play and pick up the free (or I should say included) Wiimote with a Circuit City coupon I have. Or, should I take advantage of the Toys R Us Buy 1 Get 1 50% off accessory and grab a classic controller and Wii Points card? Both I want to get or need to get.
Listen up Sega. After watching the Japanese commercial for Ghost Squad and the Wii Zapper. It made me think of all the games I want to see on the Wii. Games like Lethal Enforcer, Silent Scope, Mad Dog Mcree, etc. and of course House of the Dead. However, there are other games that ride on "rails" other than shooters that would be fun. Well, I can only think of one that I've played and dumped many tokens into when I take my kids to Chuckie Cheese. The game is Brave Firefighters
Its a fun game of rushing into burning structures and putting out ridiculous fires. Falling debris, rescue victims, smoke, the whole nine is in this game. You need to watch your water pressure and oxygen tank.
Here is a YouTube video which is hard to see and do the game justice.
Finally got my hands on a Wii. I ended up going through Craigslist to get one which was weird. I never bought from there and only sold items. It was weird going to some strangers house with a pocket full of twenties. It was a good deal so I had to but my life at risk. Of course I had some protection on me. My inch and a half pocket knife blade...
Anyways, for $300 I got the Wii with Wii Sports, Call of Duty 3, Resident Evil with guide, and some crappy game I never heard of...Chicken Shoot.
Now I just need to go out and get another controller...sorry Wiimote.
I just noticed something this morning while perusing through the DS games at circuitycity.com. Since when did they start selling Preowned titles? I'm sure its not just DS games either. I'm guessing this is only online since they don't have the resources in-store to pull this off. Where are they getting these games? Can you return unwrapped games to them?
