So last night, my 3 year old daughter walks up to me and says "Daddy, can we play a game.". Now, while this is not unusual, it was the game that she wanted to play that caught me off guard.
"What game do you wanna play?"
"The scary, jumping horse game."
I should probably explain. The game she was referring to was Castlevania: The Dracula X Cronicles on the PSP. As most of you probably know, the game begins with you in a carriage and you end up having to "fight" Death (it's not really a battle, but I'm glad the game started with some action). Hence the "jumping horse game". She used to play Sesame Street on the NES and now she wants to kill zombies, skeletons, and the occasional
Rhino. It makes me proud as a gamer and a parent to see her her taking an interest in something other than the status qo when it comes to preskool games.
