I haven't written a blog in a while, so I thought I might as well join the badnwagon and make a 10 Things blog like everyone else... Shut up, I'm not a sheep.

The things in this list were written in no particular order.

1. I hate my name here on destructoid.
I picked '007' because of a sudden compulsion back in '07. Just a few months after making my account, I realized that I hated it. It was so... boring. It didn't describe me at all. Just two zeros and a seven. My name for everything else on the internet is BrownBooty69. I'm brown. I <3 my booty. And... well, 69. I thought it would be too inappropriate to have a name like that here on Dtoid, so I didn't bother making it that. Yeah, I know. Crazy.


I'm not these guys.

2. I hate that my mother hates that I love video games.
I've been playing videogames almost my entire life. I can remember not ever touching a controller until my cousins in Pakistan introduced me to Sonic & Knuckles at age 6. It was my gateway to the world of games. It also helped me cope with my parent's divorce. My mom probably has proper reason to hate games. I would cry and whine whenever I couldn't buy a game. And I couldn't buy games about 100% percent of the time. Add that up with the fact that my mother was filing for divorce at the time, and that she wasn't doing too great financially, and you could probably imagine how stressful things were for her. Even today, I hated how I had been back then, and feel bad for what my mom had to put up with when I was a kid. I just wish that my mom would realize that it was my because of me and only me that she had to deal with a bitchy brat, and not video games themselves.

3. I'm the most insecure fuck I know.
I don't think there's ever been a day when I wonder how others perceive or have perceived me. Because of this, I didn't join track in highschool (my best mile time in middle school was 6 flat), I never had the nerve to ask a girl out on a date, and I haven't been able to apply for a job. Why I'm like this? I don't know. I seriously need to grow a pair...


Thankfully, this wouldn't make me feel insecure, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN

4. I'm a huge Trent Reznor fan.
I <3 Nine Inch Nails. I listen to everything from rap and hip-hop, to rock and techno/trance, but I can easily say that Reznor is my favorite artist of all time. My favorite albums by him would have to be either The Fragile or With Teeth. I just hope that Ghosts I-IV wasn't the end of his work.



5. I have beaten Star Fox 64 over 100 times.
I kid you not when I say this. Star Fox was the very first game I had ever bought for my N64, and I loved it. I guess I played the game so much not only because it was so awesome, but also because it was the only n64 game I owned for about a year. I was still poor back when I bought the N64, but I never complained about not being able to buy another game. I had grown up... that, and the game was FUCKING AMAZING!

*I still have not gotten medals on all of the planets, but I got pretty damn close to doing so 2 summers ago.

6.I'm an idiot. Because I forgot I was had written for this point.

7. I REALLY want to go to a NARP.
I know we've had a NARP in Chicago, but I am not good at driving. I love driving, don't get me wrong, but I'm just shit terrible at it. If you don't believe, then think about this: I had my first accident with my mom. Yeah, I saw her going the opposite way I was driving, so I tried to wave and get her attention before we passed. Last thing I knew, my front bumper was 10 yards away, and my mom was yelling at me from her car.

First words that came out of my mouth: "shit..."

8) 007 <3 Heretic 4 lyfe
Seriously, that guy is my homeboy. To those who were there during the xDistratox vs Salman707 fights, I know what you're thinking. But you're all going to have to trust me when I say it was all just a facade we held so people wouldn't know the true feelings we had for each other. After we broke up, he worked hard to get himself banned. He wrote bad blogs on purpose so he didn't have to deal with the pain of leaving me. To Pablo... I give him my love.

9) I hate that I'm losing my religion.
I grew up a very religious Muslim. My mother had to rely on prayers when she was going through very tough times just 9 or 10 years ago, and truly believes that God (Allah SBHTLA) is the sole reason why she is where she is today. She made all of her children the same way. But as of recently, I've started to realize that my faith in God has started to become weak. I see so many things going on around me, and wonder why God could allow such atrocities to happen. I want to believe that God has a reason for these things, but... I just don't know what to believe in anymore. I still follow the Quran's teachings, but it's kind of hard to be a Muslim without actually believing in God or praying 5 times a day.

10) I love the Destructoid community.
I've never regretted late nights I've spent trying to read the community blogs or talking in IRC. The people here are what makes this community so great. This is the only site that I'm willing to turn off pop-up blocker for, read even the blogs that don't particularly interest me, or make me want to enumerate 10 things that people probably don't know about me. There are millions of sites on the internet, but literally none of them has as great of a community as Destructoid. I have seen this site grow so much in the two years I have been here, and I can only hope it grows even larger.
