As for GT 5: Prologue, I can’t bring myself to pay $40 for what is essentially, as the narrator put it, half a game — no matter how splooge-inducing its graphics may be.
I havent played GT since GT3 and I actually didn't mind playing it back then. So Im looking forward to see how this fares with me.
But... It looks SOOOO GOOOOD! I mean, it feels like I can taste the awesomeness of GT4's graphics in my mouth.
...Tastes like battery acid.
that's gross
I'm with you..this game is beyond sexy.
But. The gameplay looks bad. Bad in comparison to Forza 2, and the it's because of one thing. You still bump off walls like it's Need for Speed. And with that, you can still use other cars as a bumper to take turns. How fun is that going to be online?
That is one of the things I hated about 4. And I know I'm beating the damage drum again, but damnit it works! You do not want to hit a wall in Forza. Your ass will be taken out and you should be. It's a sim. It shouldn't be that forgiving. There should be consiquences for slamming into a wall. You shouldn't be able to just bounce back. If that's the case then I'll play Project Gotham.
But I would pop such a large boner if the Forza team could pull of some visuals like the Polyphony has or of Polyphony finally figures out how to deal with hitting cars and other walls. From the gameplay footage, they haven't.
And $40 for five tracks and 60 cars? What the fuck is that?
Then I may have to buy a PS3.
