Picross DS is not a casual distraction for DS owners. You may
think it's part of the older themed Touch Generation series, but I think you can classify it as straight up hardcore. Why? Because it's one of the most frighteningly addictive pieces of digital brain smashing you will ever put into Nintendo's little money printer. To make matters worse, even after you've decimated all the puzzles at your disposal (I don't know how many, I'm not that awesome) you can download more via wi-fi and save them to play anytime. This feature was finally a go yesterday with Mario's Picross Packs 1 & 2 going live. The contents of said packs are a secret...gee...I wonder what's all in there.
I've only tackled a couple of these new animals, but they are great, especially if you love the characters and enemies from Mario's universe. If you own a copy, get up on it and if you don't, why haven't you bought one to call your own? It's only $20! If you need help navigating the silly menus to get to the downloads, I've put the steps the below for your convenience. When you're famous, making $10 million on a movie set somewhere, sitting in your trailer and playing Picross DS - don't forget who told you what's what.

[Main Menu]
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection > Community > Classic Puzzles >Mario's Picross
Just download the packs and you're done, then head back to the main menu. You can find the puzzles in the "My Picross" menu under "Classic." Enjoy and get some sleep some time.
